First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options and an initial cleaning.

We usually attempt to have a cleaning appointment set up with your initial exam and X-rays.  This may put your initial appointment time further out.  If you need an initial appointment for pain or a concern please let the staff know so they can get you an appointment as soon as possible, your cleaning appointment can be scheduled out further.

Depending on your existing dental condition the exam, X rays and treatment plan may take only several minutes or

if complicated up to an hour.  We set aside an hour for your initial exam.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first appointment.

  • Form of ID
  • Your current dental insurance card if you have it.
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all visits.

Please alert the office if you have a serious medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

If your previous dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
